The Enigma Series by Ditter Kellen

Enigma Series by Ditter Kellen

Ditter Kellen is a fairly new author to me, but I have placed every single one of her books in my TBR pile, even though I am reviewing 7 of the Enigma Series now, she still has quite a few books on my TBR pile, Book 8 of the Enigma series will be out on May 29th, I am really looking forward to it, it is already available for pre-order on some sites now. links at the end of this post.

Ditter Kellen is the bestselling author of the Enigma Series. To say she’s addicted to reading is an understatement. Her ebook reader is an extension of her and holds many of her fantasies and secrets. It's filled with dragons, shifters, vampires, ghosts and many more jaw-dropping characters who keep her entertained on a daily basis.
Ditter’s love of paranormal and outrageous imagination have conspired together to bring her where she is today…sitting in front of her computer allowing them free rein. Writing is her passion, what she was born to do. I hope you will enjoy reading her stories as much as she loves spinning them.
Ditter resides in Florida with her husband and many unique farm animals. She adores French fries and her phone is permanently attached to her ear.

Enigma:What Lies Beneath Book 1

Blurb
Doctor Abbigail Sutherland is used to being alone. Between twelve hour shifts at the hospital and looking after her eccentric father, she has very little time for much else. Until an unexpected call one night, sends her racing to the lab where she discovers a secret that could change the world forever.
Hauke awakens after an underwater explosion, strapped to a bed and on his way to a site known as Area 51. Amidst a deadly virus, seemingly impossible to stop, and a corrupt Government placing a price on their heads, Hauke and Abbie run for their lives, uncovering conspiracies, deceptions, and a love that won't be denied

My Review

I loved how the story was told from both the bad and the good side, Hauke our hero in this one, is now on my long list of book boyfriends, Abbie the female lead is a strong willed character and a great heroine, would highly recommend this one to anyone who enjoys a good read in a quiet corner, you get pulled into this new world about the Bracadytes and their beautiful home Aukrabah.  It is well written and flows extremely well, This is the first of several, it sets up the world for you to enjoy, it is action packed from start to finish, definitely not for under 18s, none of this series is.

Naura: A SciFi Alien Romance (Enigma Series Book 2)

Blurb

As a Bracadyte Princess, Naura is forbidden to visit the surface. Until an explosion near her home in Aukrabah, leaves her injured and in the arms of a land walker named Anthony Vaughn. Recognising him as her mate, Naura will stop at nothing to be with Tony. Even if it means her life.
Anthony Vaughn doesn't exist. Having his family tortured before his eyes, and his past erased by the CIA, he no longer has a soul. The last thing he wants or needs is the responsibility of protecting the beautifully naive Naura from a ruthless Government that wants her head. Danger and seduction become a constant companion in a world of intrigue, conspiracy and a deadly epidemic that threatens to destroy them all
.

My Review

OK I think it's safe to say I am hooked, I have read two books in the space of just one day, just about to start my third, these books are really addictive and will pull you into their new world, each one so far has led you to the next without leaving you with that dreaded cliff hanger that we all hate, well I know I hate them, I love that's it's the same characters throughout, so get the feeling of family and sticking together, but still focusing on certain individuals in each book. Anthony Vaughn is the ultimate human spook, he does not exist, he can hide in a crowd, Naura is the perfect princess, coddled by her family, until the accident, when her life becomes action packed and full of love, Well worth reading, see you after the next one,

Vaulcron: A SciFi Alien Romance (Enigma Series Book 3)

Blurb

On a mission to save his people from being destroyed, Vaulcron must team up with a human reporter known as the Great White Shark. She's beautiful, cunning, and definitely hiding something. Vaulcron will do anything for his family, even if it means breeding with the one woman who can destroy them all.
Mallory Cahill hasn't become the lead reporter of Channel Eight News by being weak. Feared by some and hated by many, she'll do anything to get the story, no matter whose toes she has to step on to achieve it. When Vaulcron, a Bracadyte prince, virtually falls into her lap, Mallory jumps at the chance to interview him. She doesn't count on falling for the gorgeous alien any more than she expects to be running for her life from the very government who had promised to protect her.

My Review

Book 3 tells the tale of Vaulcron and the great white shark Mallory, I am really enjoying this series, The Bracadyte world and the human world lock horns again in this one, This series would make a great film franchise, I imagine it as a film when I am reading, it has everything, I could easily get lost in this world, the series as a whole relates to two worlds colliding, the bracadyte and the human, good versus evil, the humans aren't evil but there are a select few who could give satan a run for his money, Vaulcron our hero is a typical alpha male with extra bite, our heroine takes no stick from anyone, a match made in heaven. You are going to love this series, I know I am.

Zaureth: A SciFi Alien Romance (Enigma Series Book 4)

Blurb

A legendary healer fully devoted to his people, Zaureth is one of the most powerful Bracadytes in Aukrabah. But his gifts come with enormous responsibilities and a heavy price—a vow of peace and celibacy. From the moment he meets Amy, a tiny human female born without sight, those vows are threatened. She calls forth every protective instinct he possesses, along with a desire he is powerless to deny.

Amy Brighton may have been born blind, but she doesn't need sight to know how she feels about the Bracadyte healer. Their first touch forges a connection between them too strong to resist. Now Amy must overcome a lifetime of dark uncertainty if she wants to live, and turn to the only light she will ever know. Zaureth...

My Review

My favourite so far in this series, I know I have said this on each one but this one is a true love story, there are ups and downs in most stories but Zaureth is a tortured soul who deserves his piece of heaven, I loved Zaureth in the other books, he has suffered in silence for many years, Amy is the one person who brings light to his life even though there is none in hers, he deserves this story, they both do. The story flows perfectly, there is just the right amount of action, love and that awesome happy ending.

Oz: A SciFi Alien Romance (Enigma Series Book 5)

Blurb
Raised by the Cuban cartel, Nicho “Oz” Ozele learned early on that it was far better to be feared than loved. Now he’ll use everything in his formidable arsenal to stay alive. Even if it means abducting the incredibly enticing sister of his most hated enemy. Wanted by the mob and running from the deadly Incola virus, Oz turns to the only family he has left—the Bracadytes.

Taken hostage by her father's killer, Maria wants nothing more than to see Oz dead for his crimes against her family. With all she has, she fights Oz at every turn. Until one night on the open water, he risks his life to save hers, forcing Maria to choose between the need for revenge and her heart’s strongest desire.

My Review

Oz is a bit of an enigma to me, I know, I know, you don't have to tell me, but I wasn't sure about him, I really did not know what to make of him the first time I read about him in earlier books, but he grows on you, his troubles are more to do with the seedy side of humanity than Bracadyte, but the alien race does play a huge part in Oz's story, they are the only family he knows, so who else can he turn to? in his hours of need. Maria our heroine in this story is adamant she has to have her revenge on Oz, the story is full of action, the plot is full of turns and twists, Miss Kellen has turned me into a reader for life.

Gryke: A SciFi Alien Romance (Enigma Series Book 6)

Blurb
Half human, half alien, Gryke is the most vicious Bracadyte in Aukrabah. His hatred and distrust for the land walkers runs deep—especially for Fiona Henagar. The female Marine is smart, gorgeous, and self-sufficient. With every breath, she confounds him and attracts him. But when she steals the ancient Bracadyte scrolls, Gryke has no choice but to confront his feelings for her and go after her.

Fiona Henagar doesn’t have time for love. She lives a life of duty to her country until her son, Andrew, is kidnapped by the government. Stealing the Bracadyte scrolls to pay off her son’s kidnappers, Fiona vows to stay one step ahead of Gryke—and her growing feelings for him. As they fight against government plots and spies, will they succumb to their deepest desires or will old prejudices tear them apart?

My Review

I love all these unusual names, wonder if anyone has called their children one of these names, would be interesting to find out, Gryke made me cry, well he didn't, his story did, Thankyou for that Miss Kellen, there are not many words you can use for Gryke, he reminded me of a giant furry bear, with a soft side, which he hardly shows, a real big alpha male, top dog, don't mess with him, so Fiona is pushing her luck with him, she is a no nonsense kind of gal, who would do whatever she had to do for her son, this one has the best plotline, as a mother I really felt bad for Fiona, but because I fell in love with the Bracadyte people in the other books, she was a hard pill to take, I felt so sorry for these characters, glad they got that happy ending.

Braum: A SciFi Alien Romance (Enigma Series Book 7)

Blurb

As the daughter of the vice president of the United States, Josie Reynolds must adhere to certain rules; very little interaction with the outside world, and definitely no contact with the deadly Bracadytes that live beneath. Until a chance meeting in the halls of the White House brings her face to face with the giant alien known as Braum. He's gorgeous, mysterious and undeniably dangerous. But the forbidden had always been Josie's weakness...

Watching the beautiful Josie from a distance is no longer enough for Braum. Though his head demands he stay away, his heart refuses to listen. Braum's entire world is turned upside down when he leaves with the vice president's daughter, and returns to Aukrabah. Danger, jealousy and desire all war together to create an explosion of passion that threatens to burn them alive. If they survive...

My Review
Braum is by far the best of the lot, this one deals with some awful truths in this world, domestic abuse, attempted rape, parental metal abuse, but Josie comes through it with the help of Braun, There are alot of ups and downs in this book, but I think because they are human problems, more than Bracadyte problems, more people will be able to associate better with it, Braun totally does it for me, the total package, he knows what he wants and goes and gets it, my kind of man, Josie is no shrinking violet, but she can't seem to catch a break, until Braun, Don't get me wrong this is definitely a love story, you won't regret reading it.

These books just keep going from strength to strength, I am hoping that there are several more in the series, no pressure Miss Kellen, but I am totally hooked, looking forward to book 8, Rykaur, don't forget he is out on May 29th, so that will be a late anniversary present to myself, unfortunately you can't pre-order on Amazon until about a week before he is out, but you can get pre-order him here from these retailers
