Summary: In the shadows of the night in Caldwell, New York,
there's a deadly turf war going on between vampires and their slayers. There
exists a secret band of brothers like no other-six vampire warriors, defenders
of their race. Yet none of them relishes killing more than Wrath, the leader of
The Black Dagger Brotherhood.
The only purebred vampire left on earth, Wrath has a score
to settle with the slayers who murdered his parents centuries ago. But, when
one of his most trusted fighters is killed-leaving his half-breed daughter
unaware of his existence or her fate-Wrath must usher her into the world of the
undead-a world of sensuality beyond her wildest dreams.
The Review
OMG, How come I missed this series, I can’t wait to get the
next one, I loved how the story jumped from character to character, Well this
is Wrath and Beth’s story, A great love story for someone who just did not love
himself at all, Wrath came across as abit of a self hater, but by the end he
was a changed character, I loved the transformation in him, it shows there is
hope for us all, He was a very powerful character, I loved him, in fact I loved
everything about the brotherhood and I cannot wait to read more about the rest
of them, If someone could let me know what order they go in, I would appreciate
it, I thought the graphic detail of the story was amazing, Beth’s character was
strong, she knew her own mind and was sadly lacking in the job department, she
was well known down at the police station, as she turned to them for stories,
so they will do anything to protect her and do not realise that Wrath (the big
evil looking man that was anything but friendly) was there to protect Beth too,
I adore J.R. Ward’s writing, there are no words, she draws you into the world
of the brotherhood, and I only read the first one, Better get reading, 5/5
