Summary: Aaron MacManus, the new master vampire of the realm
just wanted to go out and meet some of his subjects and to figure out what
needed to be done to set things right.
April and Demetrius Carlovetti own an air service and are
the most trusted and well liked vampires in Aaron’s realm. What he didn’t
expect when he visited them was betrayal. His own bodyguards try to murder him
and blame it on the Carlovetti’s.
Sara Temple was not a vampire. She pilots planes for the
Carlovetti Airways. She had secretes of her own and working for this small air
service is keeping her out of sight. The last thing she wanted to do was save a
vampire, even an extremely good looking one.
Sara was only trying to survive but with Aaron she becomes
embroiled in politics, the magic of several realms involving a queen in peril,
magical beings, passion and love.
Review
I got this book from a friend after I met the author on
Facebook, I loved it, I have been texting my friend this morning to see if she
has the rest of the series on her kindle, although I think I will just get the
rest of the series anyway, if this one is anything to go by, I reckon I will enjoy them, so it will be worth buying them, don’t you think? I have fallen in
love with the way Kathi writes , with just the right amount of romance to sex
and the funny moments to the dramatic ones, This one is all about Vampire
Master Aaron and Sara, Sara is an unknown entity who is on the run from the
magic council, after the Queen, Melody to her friends, disappears, they fear that
Sara has kidnapped the queen, enough said, I really don’t want to disappoint
anyone who has not read this one, although I seem to be about the last person
to have read it, lol, anyway through no fault of her own she ends up in front
of Aaron, who to his utter surprise ends up finding out that Sara is his mate,
but she wants nothing to do with him, This story had lots of drama and a lot of
funny moments, there were some classic one liners, I loved Colin, Aarons best mate, he was the
comedian in this book, Duncan who was a very close friend of Aaron’s to the
point he became his day walker, basically his man servant, well he was very old
fashioned, a perfect gentleman, but because he was old fashioned some of his
sayings, had me in stitches, he just said them at the wrong moment, which me
laugh, I loved Aaron, he really was in my
eyes, the perfect vamp, Kathi had written him perfectly, I like the vamps who
rip people apart but when I read a paranormal romance I don’t want to hear
about too much violence, although he did kill a couple, Kathi did not spend all
the book focusing on that, I would highly recommend this one to anyone who has
not read any of the series, I am off to buy the second one, 4.5 out of 5.
